About
Two decades, from print finishing to sustainable packaging
Folkem Ltd. was founded in 2000 with the goal of becoming the region's print finishing centre — a goal it reached by 2004 through continuous development and investment in machinery. Twenty years on, it is a well-known and respected print finishing centre in Hungary and abroad.
Driven by continuous development, an environmentally conscious business policy and the expectations of our time, in 2021 the company also started manufacturing packaging products, offering an eco-friendly alternative to plastic. Since then the focus has increasingly shifted from printing to packaging.

The calculator counts fossil emissions only: the biogenic carbon in paper is treated as neutral when composted. Larger sizes use a material-based multiplier (300 ml = 1.35×, 500 ml = 1.9×). Car equivalent: 120 g CO₂/km for an average passenger car. Per-cup values vary widely in the literature (about 25–60 g CO₂e per cup) because the coating, paper weight and waste handling all matter — so the figures shown here are indicative orders of magnitude, not certified LCA results.
